Easy Honey Baked Ham Recipe

In November people are always looking for food recipes for the holidays. For example a Thanksgiving favorite for many is preparing a Honey Baked Ham. However, many people go and pick up a pre-made ham directly from Heavenly Ham, for example, to save time. (You can do this if you live in Michigan, Ohio, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, New Jersey, Florida, or Louisiana. They have locations in these states. But if you live somewhere else like Wyoming, for example, you can order one online from Heavenly Ham and have it sent directly to your home). But what if you want to do it yourself. The best thing to do is to keep it simple. Here is a simple, easy honey baked ham recipe:

INGREDIENTS

1-6 to 8 pound spiral cut cooked ham
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup pear juice
1/2 cup honey

PREPARATION (HAM)
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
2. Score the top of the ham by making diagonal cuts with a knife (most spiral cut hams are already scored, so this process may not be necessary)
3. Dust top of ham with ground cloves
4. Put ham in a shallow roasting pan
5. Cook for 15 minutes while basting ham regularly with fruit juices (see juice preparation below)
6. After 15 minutes of cook time, brush glaze mixture onto the ham (see glaze preparation below)
7. Cook for an addition 1 hour 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees

PREPARATION (JUICES)
1. Mix pear and orange juice together in a bowl

PREPARATION (HONEY GLAZE)
1. Combine brown sugar and honey together in a bowl

Hopefully this recipe is easy to follow and good to eat! Yummy!
