Easy Apple Crisp Recipe

If you looking for recipes to make apple crisp it is best to find easy recipes because oftentimes the simple ones taste the best (that's my opinion, of course). But there are all kinds of variations out there from Vermont Maple Apple Crisp to Wyoming's Rustic Apple Crisp. But here is my simple apple crisp recipe that anyone can use:

INGREDIENTS

4 peeled and sliced medium tart apples of your choice (i.e. Rome, Jonagold, Granny Smith, Pippin, etc.)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour or self rising flour
1/2 cup of oats
1/3 cup butter
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg

PREPARATION
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
2. Grease a square pan (approx. 8x8x2 inches)
3. Put apples along bottom of pan
4. Mix remaining ingredients together
5. Sprinkle mixture evenly over the apples
6. Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender

That's it! Enjoy. (You can use whatever apples for apple crisp that you want.)
